Hawk Nissan of St. Charles contributed $10,000 to the underfunded Meals on Wheels program run by the Dupage & Kane Senior Citizens Council. In response to a story that ran on WGN news, Hawk Nissan of St. Charles stepped up to help the local foundation. With demand for the program up 40% since the beginning of the pandemic and donations at an all-time low due to Coronavirus, senior citizens are being wait-listed to receive this program benefit.

That’s when Hawk Nissan of St. Charles decided to get involved. As a member of the Kane County community and the St. Charles local Chamber of Commerce, this was a cause that would positively impact the lives of local senior citizens who needed the help.

General Manager Gus Babalis said, “Right now during this pandemic is a time when seniors need our help more than ever. We’re proud to contribute and keep the Meals on Wheels program in Dupage and Kane counties rolling, and we urge other members of the community to help out with whatever they can to make sure this very important program remains funded.”

In addition to their donation, Hawk Ford of St. Charles will be running campaigns all month long promoting the need for financial assistance to benefit the Dupage and Kane Senior Citizens Council Meals on Wheels program.
